When you create a QRVault account, we collect the following:
At this time, only your email address is actively used — for account login. Your name and phone number are stored but not currently used for any feature or purpose.
QRVault can optionally access your device's location when you scan a QR code. We only collect location data if you grant the app permission to do so.
When location access is enabled, we record the latitude and longitude of the device at the time of each scan. This data is used for one purpose:
You can deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device's Settings. If location is denied, QRVault will still function normally — scans simply won't be tagged with a location.
Your account data and scanned QR code history (including any location data) are stored using Supabase, a managed cloud database service. Data is stored securely and is tied to your account.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We do not collect:
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To request account or data deletion, contact us using the support form on our website and we will process your request promptly.
Deleting your account will remove your profile information and all associated scan history, including any stored location data.
QRVault is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of QRVault after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
